Dear Year 4 Parents and Carers,

This week the children have worked collaboratively to start planning and producing a slingshot car in DT. It was brilliant to see such wonderful teamwork in the classrooms! The children also enjoyed collecting data on living things to enable them to analyse the change in our local area since autumn. It has been wonderful to see them quickly getting stuck into learning again!

A friendly reminder that World Book Day is next Thursday, the children are invited to dress up as a book character and can get involved in our 'Read Aloud' competition if they wish!

Year 4 Teachers

Maths:  In Maths, we will be recapping all units learnt since September and checking our understanding of these. 

English: In English, we will be writing our own information discussion text about deforestation

Foundation:   

Computing - To change HTML for a specific purpose

Science - To know that data can be used to make conclusions and predictions for further investigations.

RE - Why might many Muslims read the Qur’an as a form of worship? 

DT - To design a shape that reduces air resistance. 

Geography - To understand the importance of trading responsibly
