Weekly Update - Friday 16th May 2025
A Summary of our learning:
We have had a busy week learning about persuasive writing in English. The children learnt that persuasive writing often uses repetition of information, noun phrases, and different sentence types. In maths, the children continued learning about fractions. The children learnt how to find ¼ or ¾ of an amount. They also started learning about time. The children revised telling the time (half past, o’clock and quarter past). And then learnt how to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes. In science, the children learnt about parents and their offspring and how their names are often different.
